学院一直突出英语和计算机教学。为提高学生的英语口语能力，学院不仅从世界各地聘请外语教师，数量之多，一直为全省之冠；而且新生入学第一年，都必须进行强化英语训练。校园内英语学习氛围浓厚，随处可见学生与外籍教师从容对话的场面。这些举措，增强了学生的能力，提高了学生就业竞争力。
English language teaching and IT teaching have been consistently highlighted. To improve the students’ oral English, GDPZ has been hiring native English-speaking foreign teachers. The college has the largest population of foreign teaches in Guangdong province. Another special characteristic of GDPZ is that all the freshmen are compulsorily required to have a whole year intensive English training. The college facilitates English learning and communication environment, hence a English-learning atmosphere is nurtured. Students and foreign teachers are always found talking and chatting on campus. All these measures upgraded the students’ employability.
